This Is No Longer My Country, But Theirs
"The South will rise again." It's official: the Confederates have finally won the Civil War, and even more than they set out to do. More than leave the Union, they have taken over the whole country. Traitors now control the entire Federal Government. Our only salvation would seem to be violent revolution. or mutltitudinous assassinations. Let us never forget that this country arose only thru violence. We indeed enshrine violence in the hallowed phrase "the American Revolution". Today, that seems to have been only a passing fancy, but it actually took a long time to play out. I just Googled "American Revolution" and found this summary at the top of results:
+
"The American Revolution was a political upheaval that took place between 1765 and 1783 during which colonists in the Thirteen American Colonies rejected the British monarchy and aristocracy, overthrew the authority of Great Britain, and founded the United States of America."
It took 18 years, not a snap of the fingers. But we persevered to create a true political and social Revolution that was to create the greatest country in history.and transform much of the world. That was a glorious time This, a hugely inglorious time.
+
Barack Obama, who is President of the United States, was absolutely wrong when he said, after the election, that we are all on the same team, all Americans. No, we're not. This is now the Confederate States of America, and it's time to consider what we can do to restore the United States of America. The first thing we must do is admit that traitors now control the Nation, and consider how to undo that.
+
Our ONLY hope, sans revolution or assassination, is that Trump will betray his Confederates. Fortunately, we can indeed expect that, because you can't trust Trump as to anything.
+
There might be a very few alternative explanations for Tuesday's election result. One is that a lot of people are deluded into confusing reality with "reality television", in which Trump was a major player, and this is all just entertainment. Another, however, is more chilling, that this country has fallen into drug-sodden madness. We have become indulgent of drug use, starting with "pot" or "weed" but extending to other drugs, on the absurd assumption that if marijuana is not life-threateningly dangerous, neither is any other drug dangerous. Nor are there any other bad consequences to being under the influence of drugs. How many voters were under insane, drug-induced delusions that defied realistic data?
+
Merging Two Drafts. Let me now plug in a separate draft of a post I intended to place in this blog on this subject today.
+
How do we explain the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States? Alas, it must be the suspension of reality, as by television "reality" programs or, even worse, by drugs everywhere in this country. The substance-dependency of an enormous proportion of the populace of the United States is impossible to ignore. Be they legal or illegal, DRUGS (which term, for this discussion but not generally, includes alcohol) dominate very large segments of the population nowadays. Every single break in the evening newscasts of the major television networks has at least one, and often two or more, commercials for a prescription drug, for pain, or diabetes, or cancer, or — you name it. The solution is always a drug, one you take every day, every week, twice a year, whatever.
+
The pushers of marijuana as the cure for all maladies, physical and psychological, have persuaded the majority of otherwise sane people to be comfortable about having this entire country be on drugs.
+
How else can we explain the triumph of a lunatic as President of the United States? And now, with the approval by four more states of recreational marijuana, the United States drifts farther and farther from reality into a world of wilful delusion. This is a truly disgusting time in the history of this once-great country. The fall from grace that we have suffered has nothing to do with Democratic control of the White House, nor even, more toxically, Republican gridlock in Congress, but everything to do with this country's having fallen into drug-sodden madness.
+
The insane attitudes of the Radical Right could not succeed were it not for an appalling proportion of voters on the Left being zonked out on marijuana and other drugs at the end of the day, or buying into the insane lie that there is no harm in using drugs. This is not to say that when they go to vote, people are zonked out, but that each evening before they vote, they relax with marijuana and/or other drugs, prescription or illicit, so are ALWAYS suffering distorted judgment. The Radical Right had an impeccable case against smoked marijuana, but gave up on it, in yielding to the insane lie that "medical" marijuana was legitimate even if the therapeutic chemicals were administered thru smoke rather than a pill or liquid. "Smoke and mirrors" indeed.
+
To the extent that there is any medical benefit from marijuana whatsoever, it is in the chemicals, not the manner of intake. The advocates of medical marijuana OPPOSE a pill for those ingredients, pretending that they don't work! But a pill that conveys the medicinal ingredients should work absolutely fine. The people who PRETEND that smoking marijuana works medicinally but a pill does not are LYING. They are drug addicts and drug pushers, who should NOT be permitted to set public policy on this dangerous drug. Tho "dangerous" will strike today's readers as excessive, even preposterous, that is a consequence of decades of marijuana-is-harmless propaganda. Marijuana robs people of initiative and perspective, for DECADES. People lose their life, day by day. For 30 years when non-drugged people have begun a career and pursued it, potheads are living in their parents' basement, in wasted lives.
+
The Dangers in Use of Marijuana. Let us understand plainly what the use of drugs is all about. In the United States, people are, for the most part, raised to believe that they will grow up to be happy. They will find a job, get a great house or apartment, find someone wonderful they can love, have beautiful children, and live happily ever after, or at least for thirty or forty years after their wonderful children have left home and created families of their own, and by then the parents will be content in their old age. But what if things don't go according to plan?
+
Americans are not expected to be unhappy, for one year much less five, or longer. If things don't work out, they can escape an unhappy relationship thru divorce. There's no need to examine what went wrong, nor try to find a solution to the problem. Just jump ship when there's a beautiful tropic isle nearby. If they have children from that relationship, they will either be required to take care of those kids (ordinarily the mother) or be hounded for YEARS by not just guilt but also by the courts (the father).
+
Americans don't like responsibility. They don't want ever to grow up. They want all their problems to be taken care of by others. It's NOT YOUR FAULT that you are a miserable loser in life. So you dropped out of high school when EVERYBODY told you to stay in school, so what? So the only job you could get is in a low-end fast-food restaurant, and not even as a grill-chef but only as a busboy, so what? It's SOCIETY that conspired to make your life miserable. Somewhat farther up the economic ladder, you pay more than you want to in taxes, but survive. You don't know that the rich and super-rich pay less than you do!
+
I suspect that "President Trump" — how horrible that is to say — will surprise his voters by SELLING THEM OUT, because Trump really does have "New York values", and has merely POSED as a populist beholden to the uneducated yahoos who have been the core of his support. He has a college education, and is rich, so shares NOTHING with the bulk of his core supporters. They should have taken the hint that he is NOT one of them (a) when they learned that he is (said to be) a BILLIONAIRE, (b) when they learned that he lives in the very center of Liberalism in the United States, Manhattan, New York City, and (c) when he said one thing on Monday and the exact opposite on Tuesday, not once but 70 or 100 times. But they are so STUPID that they could not or would not see the conflicts.
+
Donald Trump will NOT be a consistent nor reliable advocate for ANYthing. He has NO program, NO principles, NO policy guidelines, NO concrete solutions. He has NEVER put forward anything but vague generalities, because he HAS NO SOLUTIONS.
+
If this were just a game, like a football or basketball contest, or an entertainment show like Dancing with the Stars or a "reality" — ha! — show like Trump's own Apprentice, we could be entertained, without any kind of risk in the real world. But Donald Trump is first and foremost an entertainer. He understood what news media did not, that this is just one more chapter in what we have known for centuries, that is, since the Roman era, that people prefer "bread and circuses" to hard policy choices.
+
Globalism, Trump Style. ABC's panel of pundits following the election said that Trump has, for many years, been comfortable in operating within a globalized economy. He has outsourced manufacture of his own products, and put into other countries, investments that he could have but refused to make in the United States.
+
I have long known that the human race is profoundly stupid, but not even I understood HOW stupid people are. The word "lemmings" comes to mind. Do lemmings intend to commit suicide? No, they just "think", if such a term can be used to describe the processes that lemmings do, that they should follow the leader, even if the leader jumps into the ocean. And almost all of those critters that follow the leader drown, because they didn't have the sense to turn around or even to the side and go back to land.
+
Vladimir Trump. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin worked to put Trump in the White House. Will that work out for Putin? Or will Trump betray Putin too, as we can expect him to betray everyone else? Trump has no bedrock principles. He is flighty and unpredictable. Nothing he says can be believed, because he could change his tune tomorrow.
+
I cannot predict what a President Trump will do. If I were a bystander, that might be interesting rather than terrifying. Could Trump set us on course for a horrendous trade war with Communist China? How about a military confrontation with Communist China over its claims in the South China Sea? Would a Trump Administration pose military confrontation with Russia, over Syria or Ukraine, or anywhere else? No one can know. And if Trump does declare economic war on Communist China, or military war with Russia over Syria, the Ukraine, the Baltic states, or anywhere else, what would happen?
+
I am soon to be 72 years old. Never have I seen an election campaign so poisonous, nor a result so troubling. A President must have principles by which friends and adversaries can anticipate his next move. No one can know what Donald Trump will do.
+
White Votes Matter. In the last weeks of the campaign, Hillary Clinton appeared essentially in blackface, as an imitation Negro, to try desperately to replicate the high turnout of "African-Americans" that Barack Obama got in 2012. It didn't work. Rather, the shiftless, lazy black people she counted on failed or refused to back her. Is it really a surprise that blacks did not do their duty, in their own interest? Americans are disgusted by the behavior of blacks in this country, in every single area of national activity save sports. No one in major media has dared to touch upon this, but I will. Americans are TIRED of blacks. Everywhere we turn, we are hit by black after black after black. Blacks have networks of their own, such as Bounce TV and BET, but are not content with that. Every national advertiser of every kind has to push black faces on white audiences, at the cost, of course, that white people are minimized in importance, even trivialized or marginalized. To appeal to blacks, who have NO money, these advertisers minimize white people, who DO have money. That is bizarre.
+
White people are especially irritated by ignorant black speech. Blacks keep bragging that they have been here since 1619. So why haven't they learned the language? Why are they speaking some bizarre SLAVE dialect, 151 years after white soldiers freed them from slavery? Why should it be possible to tell a person's race over the FONE? Orientals and Hispanics learn and speak perfect English within one generation. Blacks can't speak perfect English after TEN generations? Are they retarded? Yes, the conclusion of innumerable white people is that blacks ARE retarded. Maybe there should be an IQ test for voting. Some white people would doubtless be barred, which would be all to be good, but how many blacks would be?
+
Suggestions that black people are no more inclined to criminality than other groups have been worn away by surveillance videos that show black after black after black criminals victimizing people of all races. Every day on television stations in major metropolitan areas, black criminals are caught on camera, and we're tired of it.
+
So when Hillary donned her "I'm as black as you are" mask, it irritated white people. Wrap yourself in the arms of Beyoncé and LeBron James, if you like, but you look ridiculous, and lose the most important constituency of all: white people. This country is still 70% white. How could you forget that? You might think that no one could do that. But Hillary did.
+
One More Thing. Hillary's people thought that this country wants not just a woman President at the head of the Federal Government but even a female Commander in Chief. Radical Feminists have been deluding themselves for decades. Remember the campaign to pass the so-called "Equal Rights Amendment" in the 1970s? A lot of people expected it to pass easily, because they thought this had become a Radical Feminist country. But it failed, miserably, because the United States is NOT Radical Feminist. It wasn't in the 70's. It's not now.

That's all I have to say today.

Abysmally Incompetent Clinton Campaign
[Today's post derives largely from an email, which started with "YOUR" in block caps below, that I sent to a pro-Hillary friend, in response to an email from him that referred to some assertions by a mutual friend whose relentless negativity has alienated both of us. I hope that the "ground game" (getting out the vote) enables her to win, but it will have to make up for an astonishingly inadequate campaign as to issues, the qualifications of the candidates, and the insane unfitness of Donald Trump to hold the most powerful job in the world.]
+
YOUR mention of Trump's not releasing his tax info shows part of the unbelievable incompetence of the Clinton campaign. They should have attacked this every week, and even 2 or 3 times a week. She also did not catch Trump up when he admitted that Obama has deported more illegal aliens than any earlier President! Clinton should have challenged Trump: "Which is it? Are our borders open, as you have consistently claimed, or has President Obama deported more illegals than ever before? Make up your mind. You can't assert both, because they are diametrically opposed. If YOU believe two diametrically opposed things at the same time, you are out of your mind, and need to seek professional help. You belong in a mental-health program or hospital ward, not the White House."
+
As for education, our schools are doing a GREAT job — but only for kids who attend. Schools can't do anything for kids who drop out, nor zonk out in class because they're on drugs or didn't sleep the nite before or don't eat right, so cannot focus.
+
As for race war, that's nonsense. White people are not invading black neighborhoods and murdering blacks. Blacks are killing blacks. Whites have nothing to do with the violence in the ghetto.
+
Nor did Clinton jump all over WikiLeaks, to ask "Where did these emails come from? They sure didn't come from my server, because that server was shut down long ago, and all the emails cleared from the server's hard drive to keep things from falling into the wrong hands. So where DID WikiLeaks get these materials? From the STATE DEPARTMENT'S servers or the FBI's servers? If from either of those sources, then plainly I was justified in NOT trusting the security of those servers. In fact, we have known for a very long time that the State Department has been hacked FOR MONTHS AT A TIME, but I was supposed to place classified information on those HACKED servers?"
+
And on, and on, and on. She has left ridiculous charge after charge unanswered, and permitted him to call her "crooked Hillary", without ONCE asking aloud, "Exactly what crime am I supposed to have committed? Listen, there are libel and slander laws in this country, and I am going to sue the hell out of you as soon as this campaign is over. I will demand HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars in damages, for, for example, all the extra outlay my campaign has had to make to try to counter your LIES. If there are laws that criminalize libel and slander made with malice aforethought, I will demand that YOU be prosecuted as a CROOK."
+
Moreover, Trump's lavish praise of Russian dictator Putin should have made him vulnerable to conservatives in his core constituency who HATE RUSSIA. Why has she not pointed out that Trump wants to cozy up with what many of his supporters regard as our Nation's worst enemy?
+
From the very outset, Hillary has put out only feeble and ineffectual replies to Trump's assertion that he will "Make America Great Again". Why has she not taken an aggressively nationalistic stance?:
"If Donald Trump thinks the United States is no longer great, he is seriously disordered, mentally. The United States is the greatest country in the history of the world. No matter what area of human activity you consider, the United States is the first and best. We have the largest, most dynamic economy; the unchallengeably greatest military; the most inventive technology in every sphere, from robotics to medicine and anything else you might name. We so thoroughly permeate world culture that it is practically American in nature, and not just pop culture but also high culture. Americans dominate music, film, dance, literature, and pretty much every other type of high culture all around this planet. Americans also dominate the Nobel Prizes year after year, racking up 363 Nobel laureates as No. 1 in the world, almost three times as many as the next country, Britain, which has had only 123. By any measure except area and population, the United States is the greatest country in the history of the world, and has contributed more to the advancement of civilization and assistance to people in distress than any other country or empire, by far. We don't generally brag about these things, and I wouldn't brag now except to defend this greatest of all civilizations from Donald Trump's outrageous and contemptible slander that this is no longer a great country. Of course it is, and Donald Trump owes the United States a 'yuge' apology."
Nor did Clinton ever point out the folly of expecting an (ostensible) billionaire to care about the little guy. (By the way, was Donald Trump ever seen wearing a baseball-style cap before this campaign?)
+
Clinton hit Trump on using Chinese steel in his Chicago hotel, but only twice that I ever heard. Nor did she hit him on his investments in China and having clothing with his brand on it that is made in China, Bangladesh, and even his hated Mexico!
+
Trump also reportedly has investments in various countries, including both China and Russia. Why didn't she demand, "If you are so concerned about the flight of American capital to create jobs in other countries at the cost of jobs for Americans, why didn't YOU invest HERE?"
+
Never have I seen so incompetent, weak, and indirect counter-campaigning. Trump makes a charge; she doesn't answer it, but talks about something entirely different. She must have the worst campaign advisors in the history of Presidential campaigns for at least 60 years.
+
I hope the electorate will back away from temptations to vote for someone plainly unfit to be President just to express their frustration with things they feel powerless against. They must not pull that trigger, and put the irresponsible lunatic Donald Trump, who has no solutions of any kind to any problem, in position to start World War III of either military or economic kind. But if they do decide either to vote instead for Hillary or just abstain from voting for anyone, it will have little to do with how Hillary Clinton has run her campaign.
